3800 Legend
A downloadable game
3800 Legend is lo-fi hi-legend.
The kingdom is in peril, the Big Bad is back and is sending his minions to wreak havoc in the world. The adventurers have been convoked to help the villagers, explore the dungeons for Ancient Items, and use them to save the land. And if you want to chill, go fishing!
3800 Legend is a stand-alone table-top RPG. It is a homage of a series that is beloved across space and time. It is a rules-lite system that fits in a page and is based on d6, d10 and d20. It can be played by one or several players with or without a DM, as it and takes a systemic approach to adventuring. The pdfs include tables for questing, generating dungeon rooms filled with puzzles and monsters, and following up on the Big Bad.
3800 Legend is based on the 24XX SRD by Jason Tocci, with some inspiration from 1400 lo-fi hi-fantasy by Unknown Dungeon.
Deep dive into 3800 Legend
The tabletop RPG spans four pages, with the initial page housing the system and character creation, and the second detailing gear and world settings. The third page outlines the structure for player adventures, emphasizing the exploration of dungeons.
The game introduces three unique features not found in other 24XX games: Ancient Items, Adventure Rules, and the looming presence of the Big Bad.
Ancient Items are unique and cannot be purchased in regular stores. They provide players with motivation to explore the world, unlocking new locations and aiding in navigation.
Adventure Rules serve as a guide for playing sessions, culminating in a perfect cliffhanger at each session's conclusion. Players begin by discovering a new Village location, interacting with locals, completing a quest to unlock a Dungeon, and finally, delving into the Dungeon to confront a Boss.
While on the quest, the Big Bad may intervene, introducing hurdles or challenges that players must overcome before entering Dungeons.
The Dungeon Master (DM) is encouraged to promote and reward inventive initiatives from players, encouraging the utilization of their items, skills, and gear to overcome open-ended quests and Big Bad challenges.
Dungeons
As players navigate through a dungeon, rooms are generated using tables. Each room may feature a puzzle or a combat encounter.
Tracking the dungeon layout and room contents can enhance the gaming experience, but it is advised not to dwell too much on room connections, as designing effective lock-and-puzzle keys can be challenging.
The playgroup decides whether to use a prepared real puzzle, engage in theater of the imagination, or apply the resolution system outlined in the rules.
Upon completing a room, players receive a reward, which may be a chest, an Ancient Item, an item to aid dungeon traversal, or a Key to unlock new rooms.
At the dungeon's conclusion, players face a boss encounter, requiring cunning and guile for success.
Upon exiting the Dungeon, players are rewarded with character progression!
I hope you enjoy the game!

I know this may be a very late question but what is your visualisation of the origins. Sorry if you answered this question somewhere and I missed it.
